Quito is a Paris-based Holding Company and a major actor in the worldwide air freight business. Quito’s main activities consist of two GSSAs (General Sales & Services Agent): ECS Group and Global GSA.
This core business is to commercially represent airlines in designated territories and sell the hold space to Freight Forwarders. In addition, Quito has been diversifying its activities and providing other services to its customers, related to air freight operations (tailored-made outsourcing freight solutions, up to “Total Cargo Management”), sales (brokerage and charter solutions), consulting, processes optimization and Digital Solutions…
To ensure competitiveness, attractiveness and remain a preferred partner in the industry, Quito has been engaged in a Digital Transformation strategy and is currently running and initiating projects involving the following departments: Sales & Commercial operations, Accounting and Finance, HR, and Sustainability.
Key responsibilities
After spending one month at our HQ in Paris where you will be intensively trained and acclimated to the company’s culture, you will take your position in one of our local offices. Liaising between the HQ and the local teams, you will be a key part in the successful implementation of our internal projects. Under the supervision of the relevant Regional Manager and HQ managers, the Business Support Officer will be in charge of assessing existing processes and propose process improvement initiatives with the objective of increasing efficiency. You will mainly intervene in 3 departments.
• Digital & Innovation
Our set of digital solutions include CargoSpot (cargo management system), online distribution platforms (for rate distribution, online booking, and payments), Quantum (system supporting our quotation processes), Discovery (e-learning platform), SkyPallet (3D aircraft space optimization) and Apollo (Business Intelligence). Each application contributes to streamlining operations.
After learning how to integrate tools usage in business processes and mastering the best practices, you will encourage local offices to work in the most effortless and productive ways, pushing for the adoption and the correct usage of our digital solutions.
• Sustainability
On top of its regulatory obligations, the Group has decided to take its fair share toward a more sustainable world. In 2024, it identified more than 20 actions that need to be implemented throughout the Group, including some at local level, to decrease the carbon emission of the Group. You will participate in putting in place those actions and liaise with the HQ Sustainability team to monitor the effectiveness of the decarbonation plan.
