About the position:
INFARM is looking for a highly structured and experienced Head Grower with good people- and plant skills to join our team.
Tasks:
Supervision and direction of all horticultural functions; plant health monitoring, fertilizer recipes development, climate recipe development, disease and pest management
Day to day supervision and time management for a team of individuals with the goal of achieving the best possible result with the most efficient use of labor
Work in conjunction with production team to achieve highest standards of quality products including production planning, forecasting, procurement and seeking of new improved varieties and sampling of products
Inventory management and reporting of all growing related hard goods including chemicals, fertilizers, planting media and similar
Continued personal growth through education or other in an effort to continuously research and implement more efficient methods of operation
with external consultants and 3rd party institutions
Skills:
Extremely high level of organizational and planning skills
Ability to prioritize activities and work in a dynamic environment with seasonal demands
Basic computer knowledge with proficiency in Excel MS Office
Advanced plant and horticulture knowledge with practical experience in hydroponic herb and vegetable production
Excellent verbal as well as written communication (English and German) and listening skills
Ability to work in & lead a team
