Lübecker Hafen-Gesellschaft is Germany’s largest Ro-Ro port operator. With over 700 employees, 4 transshipment terminals, and 19 berths spread across a total area of 171 hectares, we handle a significant volume of cargo in the Baltic Sea region. To be precise, over 22 million tons of goods are transshipped annually at LHG terminals. But that’s not all. Whether it’s stevedoring or warehousing, as a modern logistics group, LHG—together with its subsidiaries and affiliates—offers a wide range of services. And now you come into the picture.

A unique workplace

Dynamic, diverse, and always on the move—the port isn’t a workplace like any other. You have to like that. But if you’re looking for a breath of fresh air, you’ve come to the right place.

Fair compensation

Sometimes it’s quite simple. Good work deserves good pay. Of course, we pay according to the collective bargaining agreement. What we offer on top of that: capital-forming benefits and a contribution to the company pension plan.

Company parking

There is plenty of parking for our employees both at the Port House and at our terminals.

Flexible work

Loading cargo can only be done to a limited extent from a home office. Much of the work can only be done on-site at our terminals. But of course: where it makes sense, flexible and mobile work is naturally possible.

Health management

The health of our employees is important to us. From preventive checkups and vaccinations to company sports—we’ve got a lot going on here.

Annual Special Payments

Vacation pay, Christmas bonus, anniversary bonus—appreciation comes in many forms. Sometimes, it’s even monetary.

Childcare

Work and family go hand in hand here. For example, taking your child to daycare or a childminder in the morning. Our service provider helps you find suitable childcare options. After all, good childcare and a relaxed work environment go hand in hand.

Lunch

Lunch break at the Hafenhaus? Best enjoyed in our cafeteria, chatting with colleagues. We also provide a meal allowance.

Greater Mobility

Your own personal mobility shift by bike? It’s on. Or rather, it’s rolling. For all our employees who want to bike to work, we support company bike leasing.

Mental Health

We support our employees with life’s challenges, big and small. Whether it’s stress management, finding doctor’s appointments and therapy slots, advice on caregiving, and much more. Our specialized service provider is available around the clock and, of course, anonymously.

Discount Program

In addition to Lübeck’s ever-changing weather, LHG employees also enjoy a wide range of discounts at various online and offline retailers.

Team Events

If you can work, you can also celebrate. Whether at our annual summer party or at the Christmas party in each department—we celebrate the way we work: best together.

Continuing Education

Stagnation and the port just don’t go together. We support LHG employees with individual training programs for personal and professional development.

Does this sound like you? That’s great.

People with severe disabilities will be given preferential consideration if they have the same qualifications, skills, and professional performance.

We look forward to hearing from you.
