What to expect

• You will further develop USER.ID – our new product and a central component of our publishing platform
• You will design, implement, and optimize our microservices architecture in an AWS-based Kubernetes environment
• You’ll work in an agile, cross-functional team and actively contribute your technical expertise
• You’ll take on technical coordination tasks—both within your team and across teams
• You’ll be part of a project that is rebuilding and further developing large parts of our publishing platform
• You share your knowledge with colleagues and support junior developers as a coach and mentor

Your Profile

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of experience in software development with Java / Java EE
• In-depth understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, and secure handling of JWT
• Practical experience with identity providers such as Keycloak (integration & operation)
• Solid knowledge of microservices design and operation, as well as best-practice software architecture
• Proficiency with relational databases, REST APIs (OpenAPI), Kubernetes, Kibana, and Grafana
• Experience with unit and integration testing (e.g., JUnit 5, Mockito, Spring Tests)
• Fluent German and good English – as well as the ability to integrate into a team

Desirable

• Solid experience with CDI-based frameworks such as Spring or Quarkus
• Expertise in working with Kafka, Elasticsearch, GraphQL, Micrometer, and Testcontainers
• Experience with advanced testing tools such as AssertJ, RestAssured, or JaCoCo
• Enjoyment of sharing knowledge and actively coaching junior developers
