The Deutsches Museum is seeking an

IT Network Systems Engineer (f/m/d) / IT Specialist for System Integration (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

Your Responsibilities

As part of the IT department team, you will be responsible for the IT infrastructure and will work in accordance with the Service Lifecycle (ITIL) guidelines in the areas of Service Design, Transition, Operation, and Continual Service Improvement.

Your key responsibilities include:

Planning and Operations
Design, procurement, flawless operation, troubleshooting, and updating of existing and new network environments (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN)

Future-Oriented Modernization
Gradual and consistent modernization of cross-site network architectures to create the technical prerequisites for the museum’s “Cloud First” strategy. This includes actively supporting our current transition to Google technologies (introduction of Google Workspace, migration and hosting of servers in the Google Cloud) as well as the strategic realignment of our IT workstations to Chromebooks (ChromeOS).

Network Support and IT Security
Configuration and support of all network and IT security components (including routers, switches, and firewalls) as well as the associated authentication servers and certificates

Support
Independent error analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution in 2nd/3rd level support

Job Requirements

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data technology, or telecommunications, or a degree as an IT specialist in system integration (f/m/d)
  • Relevant professional experience in network design, configuration, and operation
  • ITIL knowledge desirable
  • Experience with HP and UI products and network authentication in LAN/WLAN is a plus
  • Openness to the transformation of traditional networks into modern cloud architectures
