Your RoleOperate lens surfacing machinery (generators, polishers, edgers) according to standard operating procedures and process specifications
Execute trials and test runs for new materials, lens geometries and process parameters as defined by engineering team
Perform quality inspections using optical measurement equipment and document results accurately
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on surfacing equipment to ensure optimal performance
Support troubleshooting of production issues and implement corrective actions under engineering supervision
Maintain accurate records of machine parameters, material usage, cycle times and quality data
Prepare samples and prototypes for internal testing and customer evaluation
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
Collaborate with engineers to implement process improvements and validate new procedures
Certified technician in precision mechanics, optics, mechatronics, or related technical field or equivalent practical experience in optical manufacturing
Hands-on experience operating CNC machinery, preferably in optics or precision manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions and process specifications
Basic understanding of optical quality requirements (surface finish, form accuracy, edge quality)
Comfortable working with measurement instruments and documenting inspection results
Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Reliable, self-motivated team player with good communication skills
Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment operation
