Job Description

As a member of the DACH leadership team, you will lead the strategic direction, growth, and profitability of the Air Product business across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Working closely with regional and global stakeholders, you will strengthen market position, drive commercial performance, champion innovation, and develop the next generation of Air Freight leaders.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Air Freight leader who combines deep industry expertise with a passion for growth, customer success, and developing people.

What You'll Do

Shape Strategy & Drive Growth

• Lead the strategic development of the Air Product business across the DACH region.
• Identify market opportunities, trends, and competitive advantages that support long-term growth.
• Partner with Global and European Product leadership to execute regional growth initiatives.
• Strengthen Expeditors' market position through innovation, differentiation, and strong carrier partnerships.

Grow Customer Relationships & Commercial Performance

• Serve as Key Sponsor for strategic regional customers.
• Support customer retention, account growth, and major commercial opportunities.
• Lead and support strategic RFQs, RFIs, proposals, and customer solutions.
• Conduct regular customer meetings to understand evolving business needs and identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Account Management leaders to drive sustainable business growth.

Develop Talent & Capability

• Build and develop the next generation of Air Product leaders.
• Coach, mentor, and support Product Managers and District leaders across the region.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Strengthen organizational capability and succession readiness across the DACH network.

Deliver Business Results

• Drive sustainable growth in Revenue, Volume, Yield, and Profitability.
• Lead regional business planning, forecasting, and performance reviews.
• Partner with District teams to translate strategy into execution and measurable results.
• Maintain a balanced and healthy customer portfolio while supporting long-term business sustainability.

What We're Looking For

• Significant experience within Air Freight and Supply Chain Logistics.
• Proven success in leading teams, driving growth, and influencing business performance.
• Strong commercial acumen and customer-focus.
• Ability to lead through influence in a matrix organization.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strategic mindset combined with strong execution capability.
• Fluent in German and English.
• IATA/FIATA qualification preferred.
