About the Opportunity

A leading clinical research organisation are looking for a Sub Investigator to support ongoing clinical trials at their site located North-East of Hamburg. This is a senior, hands‑on clinical role where you’ll oversee patient safety, guide study teams, and ensure trials are conducted to the highest regulatory and operational standards.

You’ll work closely with coordinators, investigators, and cross‑functional clinical staff, contributing directly to high‑quality data delivery and smooth study execution. The site runs multiple protocols, so this role suits someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and clinical leadership within a regulated environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading study teams and overseeing day‑to‑day trial conduct
• Training and mentoring staff on protocol requirements, GCP, communication, and trial management
• Managing full study execution including start‑up, vendor coordination, recruitment, scheduling, regulatory documentation, and close‑out
• Ensuring patient safety through AE/SAE assessment, reporting, and escalation
• Maintaining high‑quality documentation and ensuring timely data entry and query resolution
• Screening and evaluating subjects via phone and in‑person assessments
• Developing recruitment strategies with site teams
• Applying project management principles to improve quality and reduce operational risk
• Performing clinical procedures within scope (drug prep/admin, fibroscan, phlebotomy, ECG, lab processing)
• Promoting confidentiality, cultural respect, and adherence to GCP/ICH/SOPs

Required Skills & Experience

• German medical license (Approbation)
• Strong clinical management or clinical research experience
• Strong understanding of GCP, ICH, protocol design, and clinical operations
• Professional communication skills in English
• Ability to manage multiple protocols and timelines
• Commitment to patient safety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative clinical environment
