It’s bad manners to talk about money. Unless you’re in Finance & Accounting or Controlling & Analysis—the two large teams comprising Finance at BCG. Not only do these professionals talk about money all the time, they also really have to know what they’re talking about, since they’re responsible for accounting, taxes, payroll, travel management, and time and billing at BCG. In addition to purely financial workflows, they also ensure that our consultants have the best possible basis for making decisions in our various respective markets.

What You'll Do

The Commercial Finance Operations team in Munich is supporting financial operations, ensuring contractual and billing compliance and maintaining the timekeeping system for all our offices in Germany and Austria. The members of the department team are central contacts for our internal stakeholders.
To further enhance process efficiencies, we are looking for a working student with the following responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing process automations
• Creating automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate
• Developing Python-based automation solutions for data processing and reporting
• Using AI to improve and automate existing processes
• Identifying automation opportunities within manual processes
• Maintaining and optimizing existing automation solutions

What You'll Bring

• You are currently enrolled as a full-time student in economics, business, computer science, or a related field.
• You have a strong sense for process automations
• You have a strong affinity for numbers, data, and financial topics in general.
• You have an independent, structured, and service-oriented working style.
• You are flexible, willing to work, and consistently friendly and professional, and you approach your tasks with great care and conscientiousness.
• You ideally have initial experience in the area of finance, but it’s not a requirement.
• You are proficient in the MS Office package, particularly Excel, and are familiar with Windows 10.
• You ideally have first experience with or a strong interest in Python, Microsoft Power Automate, or AI-based automation tools.
• Fluent German and good written and spoken English language skills complete your profile.

Who You'll Work With

As a Working Student, you’ll be part of the G&A Finance Team, which totals more than 50 members. Locally, you’ll work with nine experienced colleagues.
