European XFEL is an international non-profit company located in the Hamburg area in Germany. It operates a 3.4 km-long X-ray laser, which produces X-rays of unique quality for studies in physics, chemistry, the life sciences, materials research and other disciplines. The diverse scientific facilities at European XFEL enable scientists from across the globe to carry out a wide range of experimental techniques.
For 20h/week (up to 39h/week during semester breaks, depending on workload and availability of sufficient work), our Vacuum group is looking for a
The Position
Cleaning and assembly of vacuum components in a cleanroom environment Maintainance and update of the inventory management system Assistance during mechanical installation of beam transport systems Supporting various activities in the vacuum lab Requirements
Enrolled in a Bachelor or Master Degree program in physics, engineering or similar discipline Interest in mechanics and vacuum technology Knowledge in use of MS-Office Independent way of working Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
