Investment Strategist (f/m)
 
THE ROLE
 
This is an experienced role with a focus on investment strategy for institutional investors, in particular, insurance companies, pension funds and family offices. You will prepare investment analyses, contribute to the group’s investment infrastructure, and conduct qualitative and quantitative investment research. You have initial work experience in an Investment or Risk Management role, a genuine interest in financial markets, as well as a very hands-on attitude. Last but not least, this is a very entrepreneurial working environment where we expect you to take ownership and lead on a wide range of projects.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Development of investment concepts for existing and potential clients with focus on alternative investments, in particular hedge funds, private debt funds and other absolute return products
Conduct regular alternative investments research and collect and interpret supporting economic research, resulting in clearly stated and quantified strategy related investment recommendations and expectations
Carry out full due diligence on funds, including quantitative analysis, collection and interpretation of qualitative information, verification and onsite visits
Regular monitoring of approved and invested funds as well as portfolios of funds regarding relative performance, risk exposures and organizational changes, resulting in updated documentation and proactive investment recommendations
Preparing of research reports, client reports & marketing materials
 
EDUCATION
 
University degree in Finance or Economics
 
REQUIRED SKILLS
 
Expertise in capital markets, knowledge of alternative investments is a plus but not a requirement
Experience in development of investment concepts for institutional investors and the management of the accompanying process
Previous experience of at least two years in a business consultancy or a financial or investment-related function in an investment bank, buy-side firm, etc.
Fluency in German and English
